Because everyone is asking me the same questions and the answers are still the same, I have written down my answers for the most interesting questions from you. It’s very detailed, so a lot to read. Therefore, rather for the people who are really interested in it. Enjoy!
😉
Why am I doing all this here?
I am very fit, totally healthy and yes, even 26 is still young. I haven’t a house, a loan, or my own family with children. I guess in the future I won’t be able to be so free like that. In addition, the addiction wanderlust dominates me – So if not now than when?
For the first time in my life I would like to be a bit selfish and just look for myself. To do what I want, to do what makes me happy. After all, you can only make someone happy if you are happy. So Kickdown „One Way“, away from home. No matter what the others are thinking and saying. Have you ever looked at 100% just after you? What you feel, what you really want, without taking any consideration of other people? I strongly doubt it, it is not in our nature. For my part, I would like to try it out.
This part will be a break for myself and as stupid as it sounds – a journey to myself. After this section, it can be easier to focus on the essentials. After all, you will have enough to tell and not having the feeling of missing something. Thus, to concentrate on building + caring of my own family in Peace.
It is said „YOLO“, we only live once. On average we say about 28,200 days. They are over faster than you think. Only once to be free, once away from all the stress, the time pressure, the wrong people. Once, not wasting the time on duties, problems, worries or hardships –
„Only once out of the system“
OPEN END – Wtf?
Why not? Of course, I doubted for a very long time and thought about every problems and things which could happen. Also, if I generally should give up everything at home and start this journey or not. Of course, to consider how long the whole trip should last. Until I finally just said „Daniel, you only live once and there is only one earth. It’s so big, has so much to offer & to give – so be open for everything! “
„Every day could be the last one“
Once around the world without using airplanes?
Sure, why not? On one site, it is a question of the costs, as well as a security question. Since flying can be very expensive and I carry a few things with me, which I can’t transport so easily in an airplane. But the most important thing is, that I absolutely haven’t any time pressure. I don’t have to get from A to B as fast as possible. In the planes or at the airport you never meet interesting people, or can’t see the breathtaking landscapes. Everything is so far … I’m interested to see as much as possible, to experience how huge our earth really is. That means to use train and bus or hitchhiking to find the direct contact with locals. This is how you learn to discover and get to know the country in a different way, a better way.
To travel is to live – to live is to travel. That’s why I don’t have to go in museum like a typical tourist, to do a luxury sightseeing tour or to go to a fancy restaurant. After all this just to fly back home by plane quickly and go one with the everyday life –
„NO, Thank you – I enjoy it“
Where did I get all the money from?
Humanity please, money is not everything in life. It doesn’t make u happy, just carefree. And also, carefree, the world can be circumnavigated once. I just saved a little bit of money, but you can always earn something from somewhere. I have two hands and two feet + common sense, so something will work out or not? In addition, I will travel as „BUDGET“, as possible. Which means hitchhiking, sleeping in my tent or using the APP Couchsurfing, preparing food with my gas cooker or offering my help + labor for food and lodging. Furthermore, I can handle with money very well and am generally a frugal person. As you all know, also a Person against any kind of drugs, so that not a single Cent is lost for alcohol, cigarettes, hookahs or other things like that. Everything is possible and you don’t need much money to live or even to be happy. I don’t like luxury and don’t see this project as a holiday. It is an adventure –
„A Challenge“
What do I hope to gain from it?
Of course, it sounds a little bit stupid, but in a way it’s a journey to myself or even to my happiness, who knows. Learning to be more patient, to appreciate things or maybe to find out for myself, what I really want in life.
I want to meet people from all over the world and to learn more about their cultures, rituals, habits and local life. To explore the most beautiful landscapes, eat the most delicious food and gain a variety of experiences. As a small bonus, perhaps to learn a new language fluently or just to bring my English to native speaker level.
In general, to come home and to be more positive and strengthened with the greatest experiences, experiences and developments from this trip. To be convinced that it’s worthwhile never to lose the belief in humanity –
„Trust is the most important thing“
